Yusuf-Ibn-Tashfeen

A Naseem Hijazi Novel

Translated by Sumbul Pardesi

Invocation of a Warrior

£7.00

Andalusia endured for four hundred years after Abd al-Rahman I, first landed on her shores. As the centuries passed her legacy and that of the Umayyad dynasty deteriorated. During the 11th century, Andalusia was at the brink of chaos but the arrival of an unlikely saviour from across the sea changed her destiny forever.

Volunteers from all across the land gathered to change the fate of their nation. The three sons of Abdul Mun'am were part of the liberation movement. The brothers left Cordoba at a young age after their father was imprisoned for treason and Cordoba captured by Seville's ruler.

In Granada, they trained as warriors, and to liberate their nation, they travelled and struggled through many civil wars and missions to assemble volunteers for an unwinnable war. Several near escapes later, they finally landed in the company of Yusuf Ibn Tashfeen. The Emir of the Almoravids became their last hope, a saviour to unshackle them from the insatiable hunger of their destructive rulers and restart an era of peace and prosperity.
